We stayed here as a stopover on a long journey from Scotland to Kent and were very pleased with the service and the breakfast particularly. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation but this did not impact our stay and it is a little dated in places but our room was spacious, clean and warm. For the price we paid for a night's stay and breakfast we felt it was very good value for money.
Would definitely stay again! Saying that first to save your reading time. Central location, lovely service (Robert, hotel owner was super friendly) and delicious cooked breakfast; all top notch. Couldn't quite give the room 5 stars but not complaining because this whole package is outstanding value for money. Clean and functional bathrooms, clean bedding. Great base for exploring Buxton.
Rob was extremely helpful - and went above and beyond to make sure we had a really great stay. The room was quite basic, but great for the price of an overnight stay. Room was also very clean and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast before departure was absolutely superb (would highly recommend the scrambled eggs). Thank you Rob for an incredibly enjoyable stay - we will be back.
