Buxton situated on the outskirts of the Peak District national park is in one of Britain’s most beautiful and un-spoilt areas. Buxton has been welcoming visitors since before roman times and you can still see many of the historic roman buildings and features around the town. “Aquae Arnemetiae” was the roman name for Buxton ‘The Spa of the Goddess of the Grove’ and you can still drink the same mineral water direct from the well today.

Buxton is easy to reach by car, train and bus, with good road links via the A6, A53 and A515, direct train services from Manchester Piccadilly, and regular buses from surrounding towns and cities. It’s also within easy reach of Manchester Airport, making it a convenient base for exploring the Peak District.
