Visited the Peak District for New Year and picked this Chinese for a takeaway away during our stay. Was not disappointed! One of the tastiest Chinese takeaways I have ever had. Very reasonably priced, delivered exactly the time they said they would, food was hot, fresh and tasty wish we lived closer to have it all over again.
Im a regular visitor to the Peaks and I've tried numerous chinese takeaways and I've been disappointed every time.I was expecting the same disappointment tonight after ordering-Special curry(extra hot).Egg fried rice.Chow mein.Mixed battered sweet and sour balls.Thanks lucky house. It was just how it should be. I will be making this mine on future visits. Recommended
The food at the Lucky House is prepared well, cooked well and you can eat it with confidence. I've tried a variety of dishes and each has been tasty; not too greasy, not too salty, nor too sweet. The family are nice people and prices are very fair. When you phone through an order it's repeated back to you, you get a price, time, order number and a reminder that it's cash only. I always collect. 5 stars.
